Webinar: CoP: Nursing Conditions of Participation

There were multiple changes to the hospital nursing chapter of the conditions of participation in 2020.  Additionally, there have been over 18 CMS memos of importance issues relating to nursing in the recent past.  This program will discuss plans of care, staffing, when an RN is required, nursing leadership, verbal orders and more.   Nursing services has been the focus of CMS deficiency citations over 6300 times per the most recent report.  Some of the more frequent problematic areas include the nursing care plan and medication orders.  CMS made changes revisions to IV medication administration, safe injection practices and implemented safe opioid standards, all which impact delivery of nursing care.
